What products does Argentina export to the United States?

Chemicals, alcoholic beverages and crude oil are among the main products. 09 November 2016 Following the unexpected triumph of Republican candidate Donald Trump in the US presidential election, local and global experts are wondering how this outcome will impact economies across the globe. At the country level, and with respect to economic variables that could change the relationship between Argentina and the States, the consultancy ABECEB published a report that shows the main Argentine exports to the country of the North, according to data from 2015. According to this survey, miscellaneous chemicals, alcoholic beverages and crude oil are among the exports that more dollars generate. However, these are not the products for which the United States represents the main customer. Thus, while the export of miscellaneous chemicals accounts for 54.1 percent of sales abroad, that percentage is reduced to 34.7 percent in the alcoholic beverages category, and amounts to 51.3 percent in the sugar, honey and molasses market. "Although the share of the United States in Argentine exports and imports has been falling systematically, from 14 percent of total trade in 2002 to 9 percent in 2015, it remains a key trading partner, third in importance behind Brazil and China, "said Dante Sica, director of the entity that authored the report. Sica said that "although Trump's promises in the commercial area mainly target Mexico and China, it is to be expected that the new government will have a critical view of trade liberalization in general terms, potentially putting access to one of the main Markets of our country ".
